FRAME TYPES

Box Frame
The box frame is a contemporary classic that lets the artwork stand out in a clean and clear manner. The box frame acts on two levels by utilising internal spacers so the artwork is kept off the glass while at the same time creating a unique point of view for the audience when the artwork is placed to the edge of the frame.

Floating Box Frame
Identical in construction to the box frame, but with the artwork mounted onto a backing board using acid free tape, giving the impression that the artwork is floating off the board. This technique is well suited for works on paper and photographic prints.

Window mounted Frame
The window mount is a staple of the picture framing industry and continues to serve artists who want a more classic feel. The mount keeps the artwork off the glass while giving options to extend the space around the artwork. The window mount can also act as a great conservations tool when framing artwork that is too delicate to be dry mounted or too old mount in a visible way.
